For over 15 years I have been exploring the relationship of color shape and form. Growing up in the 60’s my influences were Mattel toys, styled animated features (Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty) children’s television programs and the stylings of mid-century furniture and architecture. The highlights were UPA, Disney, and the fabulous Warner Animated shorts. A result of this, I have been fascinated by movement, rhythm and light. For my abstract works, I will start on paper and finish digitally. These images have been printed in the giclée’ process, giving each piece a layered and matt finish. Many of these pieces become studies for my larger dimensional pieces.
